iHeartMedia DC + The Washington Commanders

These deliverables were centered on a dynamic partnership between BIG100 and the Washington Commanders, where I spearheaded the visual identity and content strategy for their collaborative broadcast and event initiatives

The Challenge

My primary role was to unify the visual branding of both BIG100 and the Washington Commanders across diverse media, from live game broadcasts to stadium displays and digital platforms. This involved creating a cohesive and compelling visual narrative that resonated with both fan bases while delivering engaging content across multiple touch-points.

My Approach

As the lead graphic designer, I manage all visual content, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality production. My contributions included:

  • LED Ribbon Animations: Design dynamic and engaging animations for stadium ribbon boards to enhance the live game experience.

  • Stadium Graphics: Create vibrant graphics for all stadium displays, amplifying brand presence and fan engagement.

  • Social Media Content: Develop compelling visual content for social media, driving online interaction and extending partnership reach.

  • Live Event Capture: Produce high-quality photo and video from all live events (interviews, training camps, pre-game media) for broadcast and promotion.

My strategy focused on a seamless integration of visual elements, supporting the live broadcasts of Commanders games on BIG100 and maximizing the partnership's visibility.

Pre-game LIVE Broadcast Trailer

Mattress Warehouse

I contributed to the Official Washington Commanders Pregame Show on BIG 100 by designing the custom-built broadcast trailer that enabled live, on-site coverage from the Commanders' home stadium. This specialized mobile unit was key to delivering immediate pre-game analysis and insights, hosted by Michael Jenkins, directly to fans before each home game.

Furthermore, I was part of the team responsible for successfully securing Mattress Warehouse as the show's sponsor, a crucial step in bringing this unique on-site broadcast experience to fruition. My role encompassed both the physical design of the broadcast space and the strategic partnership development that made the show possible.

The Bram Cam

Washington Commanders and Northwest Federal Credit Union

Integrating the power of audio and live NFL broadcasts presented a unique challenge, leading to the creation of the innovative Bram Cam. This concept involved placing a GoPro in the radio broadcast booth to capture the dynamic play-by-play commentary of renowned radio personalities Bram Weinstein and Scott Jackson during live Washington Commanders games. By collaborating with the Commanders' marketing team, we paired thrilling game footage with our broadcast booth recordings, bringing the excitement of the announcers to life.

The Bram Cam captured the genuine reactions of the announcers, mirroring the exhilaration felt by fans. These clips were repurposed across BIG100’s social media platforms, showcasing the synergy between Bram Weinstein, Scott Jackson, and the Washington Commanders. The debut Bram Cam featured the spectacular touchdown-winning pass by Jaden Daniels during the Bengals game in the 2024-2025 NFL season. This captivating content led to the Bram Cam being sponsored by Northwest Federal Credit Union, highlighting its success and impact.

“The Catch,” WAS VS. CIN

Daniels' game-sealing touchdown pass to McLaurin was a highlight, especially with the punishing hit by Bengals' Geno Stone just as the pass was thrown. McLaurin, who had only eight catches for 39 yards in the first two games, exploded with four catches for 100 yards on Monday night. This gave hope to the Washington fans who had been waiting for their team to show a spark of the team they were years ago.
